OPEN CALL: TEACH AT REVERSE

REVERSE invites teachers, artists and creators with an interest in sharing their skills and knowledge to submit proposals for workshops to be part of our educational programming.

REVERSE is a non-for-profit, multidisciplinary workspace and art gallery with an emphasis on new and experimental forms of expression. Run by artists, our mission is to support innovative and boundary breaking projects that foster dialogue and artistic collaboration. In line with our mission, we want to expand our current workshop program in order to provide a space for artists and the community to engage in a broad range of classes offered on a regular basis at an affordable price.

We are looking for workshop proposals that will give artists new tools and knowledge to expand their practice.  The duration of the classes will vary between:

-One weekend workshops consisting of two 4-6 hour sessions

-Two 2-hour sessions over the course of 1-2 weeks

-Four 2-hour sessions over the course of 2-4 weeks

*Instructors will be paid for the classes.

Submission guidelines:

– Class description of no more than 200 words, explaining the subject of study and your approach to it. Include main topics covered and how artists can benefit from this class. (Labeled: lastname_firstname_nameofworkshop.pdf)

-Class requirements: list any equipment, software, or hardware needed; specify what students need to bring and materials that you can provide

-Instructor bio of 200 words maximum

-Instructor CV

-Preferred dates and duration of workshop

Submission proposal deadline: Send all materials by September 5th, 2015  in one zip file attachment to submissions@reversespace.org with the subject “Workshop Proposal”.
